Fragments and alchemy

My first pieces back from firing by my ceramics tutor, Katie.  So delighted:

These were slivers of clay from the slab I’d pressed with various fabrics and so on to make a series of vessels – still waiting to be glazed and fired.  I used these fragments as samples to try out different oxides, not a kind of colour I’d used before.

The texture close-up is amazing.
