On Comfort

One consolation of the onset of autumn – the chance to get out the quilts.  My patchwork days are mostly a distant memory with the demands of my degree course.  But the lovely quilts are still there, a constant presence through years of cold weather.  One made when I was at university, one made for my daughter when she was three and the other still under (slow) construction (hence the tacking stitches – look closely).
